ZAMBIAN women should not vote for PF in the forthcoming 2021 presidential election as an expression of anger for the chronic suffering and poverty they have been subjected to by the Patriotic Front government, especially under Edgar Lungu’s watch.
Speaking during a media briefing at the United Party for National Development Headquarters, the Lusaka women party leadership called on the women of Zambia to focus on the future instead of being abused by PF with monetary gifts to win their support for the 2021 elections.
UPND Lusaka District Vice Chairlady, Judy Banda stated that party president, Hakainde Hichilema is a very powerful leader controlling half of the country going by the disputed 2016 elections in which he polled 1,760, 347 while Mr. Lungu managed 1.860, 877 out of 3,781,505 total registered voters.
Mrs. Banda challenged the PF to allow Mr. Hichilema to campaign freely without State-sponsored intimidation. She emphasized that women of Zambia were looking forward to being liberated by Mr. Hichilema, adding that, “Whether the PF like it or not, President Hichilema will be on the ballot in 2021,”
And UPND Lusaka Province Vice Chairlady, Angela Muuka charged that the cost of living was very unbearable especially for the women of Zambia to a point of others being turned into sex objects. Mrs. Muuka also indicated that women were at high risk of contracting COVID-19 in their trading places.
“As UPND women, we are appealing to all Zambian women to open their eyes as there was no good left in the PF Government. Which woman shall waste her vote on Mr. Lungu and PF considering the chronic suffering we have been subjected to by the PF all these years?” wondered Mrs. Muuka.
And mockingly, UPND Lusaka Province Chairlady, Rosa Zulu offered her services to help to Rainbow Party president, Wynter Kabimba to count his members nation wide. Mr. Kabimba was told to mind his business instead of finding pleasure in attacking Mr. Hichilema at will.
