I’m so impressed by the number of inspirational youth who were nominated. Here’s the list of those who stood out from among our amazing youth across Zambia
Arnold Nyendwa Inventor
A 24-year-old Zambian entrepreneur and inventor. He invented a revolutionary stainless steel stove when he was concerned how people living in high density areas are prone to respiratory diseases such as asthma caused by using charcoal and firewood.The frequency of load-shedding also influenced his stove invention which performs eight (8) functions making it multi-functional and cost-effective. The cooker can be used to cook, bake, fry, roast, braai, smoke, and warm food items. It can work with 3 energy sources, electricity, gas, and fuel.
Natasha Blue Sichula
Is an advocate for menstrual health and she is doing a lot to end period poverty in Mufulira, Zambia. She runs Her Empowerment Race Zone Zambia which focuses on ensuring school girls in Mufulira have access to sanitary products to prevent them from missing classes while on their periods.
Hon Buumba Malambo-child activist
Buumba is a humanitarian who has been involved in charity work from age 15. She volunteered at the Judith Chikonde Foundation to distribute maize to the people of Mupambe village during the typhoid outbreak in 2007. Buumba was appointed as Mufulira Youth secretary thereafter. Her charity is currently working on a project to stop early marriages in rural Zambia. Her charity is registered in Zambia and Britain and currently has 835 children on the sponsorship programme since the launch of the in March 2015. Her day job is a councillor in rural Kafue.
Mac has been publishing stories about LIFE IN THE SLUMS (compounds). He is focused on changing people’s mindset on the life in the SLUMS and the difficulties faced by slum dwellers.
Bashi runs Charity Partners Of Hope Foundation, which provides books, education fees and other needs for the under privileged in North Western Province. He finances this foundation from his pocket and a few colleagues at Kalumbila & Solwezi. The mission of the organisation is to expose youths to quality education, engaging them in sports, socio-cultural and environmental opportunities to improve the welfare and wellbeing of the less privileged youth.
Florence Jedidiah Mumba Mulenga
Florence is a 22 year old studying for a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy. She has conceptualized an Anti-Asthma Body Spray that is targets the respiratory system in asthmatic patients. Her innovation has won multiple awards in Zambia such as: The National Youth Award under The Medical and Technology Category (2020, Young Pharmaceutical Innovator of the year (2020) among others. Florence is also an entrepreneur running two businesses.
He is a multi-award-winning Zambian philanthropist, social entrepreneur, impact leader, global changemaker, event manager and motivational counsellor. He is President and Founder of The Dream Factory, a Zambian registered non-profit social enterprise that focuses on education, skills development and youth empowerment with a mission of transforming dreamers into visionaries. He is also the Community Builder and Regional Lead for Hult Prize Foundation in Zambia, South Africa, Namibia, Malawi and Rwanda.

Milner designs and makes beautiful shoes. He operates from Batoka Market in Livingstone.
