UPND Chilanga ward 10 Councillor, Misheck Mweemba has dispelled rumours making rounds on social media that he has resigned from the UPND to join the ruling Patriotic Front (PF).
In an exclusive interview this afternoon, Cllr Mweemba stated that the audio making rounds on social media purporting that he has resigned from his position were the works of a named Mr Hendrix Mutale whom he said decided to post the audio after the former differed with his boss.
He said that it would be unjustifiable for him to ditch his party when he has no issues with its hierarchy and leadership.
Cllr Mweemba, who says that he has no reasons to ditch his party that sponsored him during the 2016 general elections, has since called on all party members across the country to treat the rumour as mere propaganda meant at creating divisions amongst the United members.
Adding that the Patriotic Front has failed the people of ZAMBIA with their lies, theft and corruption.
“Surely how do I join a finished Party when I know that the people of Zambia are just waiting for the day they will change and usher in my President Hakainde Hichilema.” said Cllr Mweemba.
